Work on a major new road linking Preston and Fylde to the M55 motorway has moved to its ‘busiest’ period.
Lancashire County Council has today posted an update on the Preston Western Distributor project, a £200m scheme underway to open the road in early 2023.
The project is the most significant new road programme in the Preston, South Ribble and Lancashire City Deal. It promotes new housing and business development, ‘increasing capacity’ on the existing local road network.
