The company responsible for Preston’s Shankly Hotel have entered administration.

Signature Living Preston and Loyola Hall, alongside event catering business Signature Eden and Signature Living Lifestyles Ltd have all been placed into administration, reports PlaceNorthWest.

The founder and figurehead of the Signature Living group Lawrence Kenwright is listed as the sole active director of all four companies.

The Shankly Hotel, which is the name for the former Old Post Office on the Flag Market, has seen numerous opening dates put back since development began more than six years ago.

The building was sold to the Signature group in 2016 by Preston City Council.
