Preston Markets will give away gift cards and rugby tickets when it launches a new website this month.

Social media followers could win Preston Gift Cards and a family ticket to a Rugby League World Cup game over the next two weeks, with the new site ‘showcasing’ Preston Markets and offering information on the sites.

Preston City Council called on local creative talent to make the website, with input from several local photographers and videographers.

Interim Director of Customer Services Adrian Robinson said: “The competition begins today, so follow @prestonmarkets social media pages and follow the instructions for a chance to win.

“There will also be a chance for shoppers to win, as from Monday 8 to Saturday, 13 August, one stall per day will offer Preston Gift Cards to lucky Preston Markets customers.

“Simply shop at Preston Markets for your chance to win!”

Adrian is ‘delighted’ to see the historic marketplace, its ‘fantastic traders’, and loyal customers receive the representation they deserve.

The Preston Markets website was previously delayed during the pandemic as ‘priorities had to change’.

Adrian said: “With the Market Hall development complete and the Animate scheme about to begin, it’s the perfect time to launch this new website.

“It will make it easier for customers and traders to access all the information they need to make the most of Preston Markets.”
