A Preston law firm has appealed to the public for help after a man walked into their premises yesterday and stole a charity box containing around £60.
Yesterday evening (Wednesday, 24 August), a man entered Hadi Law Solicitors on the second floor of Preston’s Enterprise House, walked straight to the charity box and stole it from the reception area.
The law firm’s CCTV captured the theft, which left staff feeling ‘violated’, as the charity box contained between £50 and £60 for Donna’s Dream House, a Blackpool charity providing free holiday experiences for children and teenagers with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Hadi Law Solicitors’ Katie Taylor said: “We all feel violated that someone could walk in off the street purely with what seems like the only intention of stealing this.
“Quite often, we would leave items such as our phones or keys in the reception area whilst visiting other office areas. We are disgusted that someone could steal from a charity.”
A Lancashire Constabulary representative said the incident had been reported, and they are investigating, but they have made no arrests.
Those with information on the incident should call 101, quoting the reference number LC-20220825-0527.
