Preston church plans to convert part of its building into a retail and storage facility

The Potters House church off Garstang Road has plans to convert part of its building into a retail and self-storage facility.

The planning application for a change of use of first floor from place of worship (Class F1) to retail/storage (Class E/Class B8) in 21 Garstang Road was registered on August 3, 2022 to Preston City Council.

Pastor Colin Mclaren said: “The ground floor of the premises is currently used for selling paint & decorating equipment. The first floor is currently used for our church D1.”

The proposed hours for both the shops and storage area from Monday to Friday is 7am to 5pm and on Saturday 8am to 4pm.

The site has a total number of 15 car parking spaces which will be remain after the new development.
