Police close A6 in both directions after two Garstang crashes

Police closed the A6 this morning following two traffic collisions near the Bellflower pub.

They received a report of a collision between two cars on the A6 at Garstang at approximately 11.27am today (Monday, 1 August).

The collision partly blocked the road, causing slow traffic in the area, and there was a second collision involving two cars nearby.

In a tweet, Preston Police said: “Please be aware we are currently dealing with a road traffic collision outside the Bellflower on the A6, so we have closed the road in both directions.

“Please avoid the area and allow extra time for any travel – thanks.”

No one was injured in the collisions, but the A6 was blocked while the vehicles were removed.
