This year’s City of Preston Road Race saw 149 runners take part, helping to raise money for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

Many runners who had signed up for the 10 mile race switched to the 5 mile race due to the heat, which took place around Walmer Bridge Village Hall.

The organisers, Michael Brennand of the Central Lancs Running and Triathlon Club, made a donation for each marshall provided and runners also gave donations.

The total raised for Rosemere Cancer Foundation will be announced in September.
