Adnan from Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams granted asylum

One of the boys who took part in Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams project has been granted asylum.

Adnan is a refugee from Afghanistan and has been living with his foster parents, Barry and Elaine.

Elaine tweeted: “As Adnan’s foster carer I just want to thank you all for your lovely comments. He is a very special young man who deserves it.

“But the biggest thanks goes to Freddie for his support and kindness towards Adnan.

“Can I take this opportunity to encourage people to consider fostering. It is the most rewarding thing to do. There are so many children and teenagers needing loving homes.”

Freddie was impressed by Adnan’s skill when he saw him showcasing his skills and a chat with him and his foster parents led to a heartwarming story.
