During works on Grade 1 listed St. Walburge’s Church, it has been discovered that the rose window is in a poor condition and requires major work to secure its future.
The window is 22 feet wide and illuminated at night, making it visible for miles.
It is hoped money can be raised to repair the window and the people of St Walburge’s are holding a Summer Fair on Sunday 31st July, from 12.30 to 4.00 pm in the church hall.

Fun for all the family including cakes, plants, bric-a-brac, tombola, competitions and games.
There will also be the opportunity to take a tour of the church and, for the energetic, to climb the 170-odd steps up the spire to see the fantastic view.
The church hopes for the support of the people of Preston and beyond to save the window so that future generations can continue to enjoy it.
You can donate to the rose window collection here. Please state the money is for the window.
