A Preston man has entered ITV2’s Love Island as one of four new bombshells.
AdvertisementNon-league footballer Jamie Allen arrived at the villa last night (Wednesday 20 July), and is already kicking up the drama with his club FC Halifax Town seemingly unimpressed with his appearance.
A club spokesperson said on Twitter: “Allen has decided to join the cast of Love Island 2022, making his intentions clear that the opportunity is very important to him. The matter will be reviewed on his return.”

27-year-old forward Jamie has appeared on the international stage for Monstserrat, and has previously played for teams including Fleetwood Town, AFC Fylde and Southport.
During his opening scenes on Love Island, Jamie promised to bring ‘good vibes and good energy’.
Despite only scoring eight goals in 76 appearances for Halifax, he warned that the other boys should be worried as ‘I shoot, I usually score’.
And when Jamie introduced himself to his fellow contestants as a footballer, Luca – who is coupled up with ex-pro Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma – looked visibly put out.
To find out if Jamie will cause as much controversy inside the villa as outside it, tune into ITV2 at 9pm tonight.
