North-West-based Classic Coaching Academy (CCA) launched its bespoke football camps on Friday (22 July) at Fulwood Academy, just in time for the school holiday break.

CCA will host three week-long sessions during the school holidays for young people aged between five and 14 years old.

The football camp has been carefully constructed by head coach and co-founder Chris Mason, who has over 10 years of experience. The camp programme will encompass high-quality training sessions designed to meet the needs of young people of all abilities and be delivered in a fun and inclusive manner.

Classic Coaching Academy’s mission is to help young people become more physically active, mentally stimulated and socially engaged, with plans to introduce its own funding programme offering financial assistance to low-income families. The programme is due to go live later this year.

Ahead of its launch, co-founder Ashley John Cope, said: “We can’t wait to finally launch our vision for CCA and start delivering quality football coaching in the North West.

“This concept isn’t anything new; we simply know that it can be facilitated and delivered much better and there is a space for a coaching academy that operates with clear values and has the vision to make meaningful action-orientated changes in Lancashire communities.

‘’We aim to use football camps as a vehicle for social change making premium coaching accessible and affordable for hard-working families, and finally to encourage more young people to take a break from social media or the Xbox and be more active.

‘’We have big plans in the pipeline for the business and hope to extend our reach and engage with as many parents and young people as possible who are wanting access to quality accessible football coaching during the holidays.”

The first camp is taking place this week, followed by the second camp from Monday 8 August 8 to Friday 12 August, and the third camp from Monday 22 August to Friday 26 August.

The cost to attend is £65 per child for the week or £15 per day.
