An appeal to raise money for items to help improve patient and family experience across children’s services at the Royal Preston Hospital, Chorley and South Ribble Hospital, Leyland’s Broadoaks Child Development Centre has reached £150,000.
AdvertisementFundraiser Lucy Clark is working with her team to raise £1 million to help build a new outdoor play park assessment area and other items to help the children’s departments across the Lancashire Teaching Hospital’s NHS Foundation Trust.

Lucy and her colleagues launched the appeal last May and since then they have held a Superhero Day, a pub fun day, a sponsored swim and overseen supporters organise tractor runs and other challenges to bring in donations.
The team have also planned a skydiving day and running events to round off their summer fundraising calendar.
