A Hindu temple will host a local event this month to offer a ‘heartfelt exploration of the changing world’ to residents.
Gujarat Hindu Society and Community Centre Preston in Broadgate has invited residents to join their ‘community conversation’ on 27 July, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm.
The organisers said the event, called a ‘Warm Data Lab’, aims to ‘explore the changes we are living through and how they are affecting us, our communities and our world’.

They have promised ‘extraordinary conversations’ that seek to reveal important aspects of what we experience and have urged attendees to bring their ‘curiosity and stories’.
A Warm Data gathering involves participants sharing their stories and observations around a question, moving between small groups to explore the topic from alternative directions.
The organisers said participants move ‘whenever and wherever their curiosity takes them’, listening to and creating new points of view.

In the last part of the session, they join together as one group and share what they have noticed.
The organiser said attendees should feel free to attend one, two, or both sessions and can bring a friend, family member, colleague, or peer.
They will provide refreshments, and children over 12 are welcome, but childcare will not be available.
