In a show of solidarity for the village post office receiving homophobic mail for flying a Pride flag outside their shop, a group photo has been organised with flags and wrist bands tomorrow.

On Tuesday 28 June, people will gather outside the post office in New Longton to condemn the incident and show support for the LGBTQ+ community starting from 6pm.

Local residents have donated pride flags and wristbands that are available to collect from the New Longton post office from Monday (27 June).

The organisers for the event said: “If you can please come and show your support and show everyone that Love is Love.

“Let’s hope our friend sees their views are heavily outweighed!”
