Authors Hopwood DePree and Gillian McAllister will attend book events at Preston Waterstones in June and July.
On Tuesday, 21 June, Hopwood DePree will visit Preston to discuss his book, ‘Downton Shabby’.
Waterstones said readers are to enjoy a ‘thoroughly enjoyable evening’ as Hollywood film producer DePree talks readers through how he bought a tumbling down English estate, which had been his family’s ancestral home five generations ago.

The once stately home in Middleton, Manchester, was in desperate need of renovation, and after a few glasses of wine and a Goole search from his LA home, he bought the property on a whim and has been renovating it for the past three years.
On Wednesday, 6 July, Sunday Times bestselling author Gillian McAllister will discuss her latest novel, ‘Wrong Place, Wrong Time’.
In the book, a mother attempts to stop her son from committing a murder she knows he will do as she wakes up each morning to find herself further back in the past.

Gillian will be in conversation with fellow thriller writer Lucy Clarke (‘The Castaways’ and ‘One of the Girls’).
