A planning application has been submitted to reintroduce a hot food takeaway, that will operate on a daily basis near Preston North End in Deepdale.
The hot food takeaway will be situated between the junction of Bill Shankly Crescent and Sir Tom Finney Way.
In 2006 a planning application was approved by Preston City Council for change of use from former public toilets and shelter to hot food takeaway operating on match times only, the site has been closed for approximately ten years now.
The most recent registration on April 12, 2022 requested a change attached to the planning permission in the original application, to allow an increase to the opening hours of the business.

The plans are to keep the takeaway open on a daily basis when match days are on and when they aren’t so it becomes a viable business in the long term.
The new proposed hours will be on Monday to Sunday from 11.30am to 9.30pm.
The takeaway is intended for the local community who are within a short walking distance of the premises, it will act as an opportunity to create more jobs and bring a derelict building back into use.
You can see the full proposals on the Preston City Council website.
