The Penwortham Pavement Plodders are hosting a 5k and 3k plod in July to raise money for Penwortham Food Bank and Tippy Toes Baby Bank.

It is the first big plod and everyone is welcome to take part in either the 5k event or the 3k fun run.

It will take place on Sunday 10th July at Vernon Carus Sports Club on Factory Lane and is sponsored by Michael Bailey Estate Agent.

Everyone taking part will recieve food and a finishers medal. The 3k fun run costs £7.50 to enter and the 5k costs £10 to enter.

All profits will be split between the two charities.

The team are also looking for volunteer marshalls for the event, so those who are unable to take part but would like to be involved, can be.
