Detectives investigating the death of Lee Dawson in Deepdale have this evening arrested three more people.
AdvertisementA woman aged 38 and a man aged 23 have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, and a man aged 36 has been arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody at this time.
Mr Dawson died as a result of stab wounds after being found in Jutland Street in the early hours of Friday 17 June.
Two men have already been charged with Mr Dawson’s murder.
Andrew Wilcock, 29, of Lincoln Walk, and Benjamin Bibby, 20, of Dawson Walk, appeared before Preston Magistrates’ Court today charged with murder and possession of a bladed article and are due to appear at Preston Crown Court on Thursday.

Five other men – aged between 18 and 31 – arrested over the weekend on suspicion of murder have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Det Chief Insp Mark Haworth-Oates, of Lancashire Police’s Force Major Investigation Team, said: “This remains a complex and fast moving enquiry and while we have arrested a number of people, and charged two, I would continue to appeal to anyone with information to get in touch.”
