As part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Music in the Park will be taking place at Worden Park in Leyland.
AdvertisementOn Friday, 3rd June, a line-up of chart-toppers including Tony Hadley (ex Spandau Ballet frontman), Heaven 17, Go West, T’Pau, and Doctor and the Medics will take to the stage for an 80s event.
The event will also feature Pat Sharp spinning the decks with more 80s tunes and Mick Brown hosting the event.

Councillor Paul Foster, Leader of South Ribble Borough Council said: “I am really pleased to see the event coming to life and bringing a fantastic line up of 80s icons to Worden Park for what promises to be a brilliant day for everyone to enjoy.
“The response from residents has been fantastic with the level of ticket sales meaning that it will be a great event. Music In The Park is the first of this type of concert in Worden park and it could possibly become an annual event. I hope that everyone has a great time and enjoys the day.”
Gates will open from 1pm with support acts, the main show will begin around 3pm with the last entry at 5pm ready to enjoy the 80s tunes and atmosphere until 10.30pm.
