Below are the planning applications validated by South Ribble Borough Council in the week beginning June 6.

  • Erection of 50 affordable dwellings with access, parking, open space and landscaping infrastructure at Former Lostock Hall Primary School, Avondale Drive, Lostock Hall, Preston. Validated 1 June.
  • Discharge of conditions 3, 5-6, 10, 14, 16, 19-21 and 23 pursuant to planning permission 07/2021/00369/FUL for erection (class E) convenience store with back of house at first floor, customer car parking and delivery area following demolition of existing garage building at Grosvenor Garage, Chorley Road, Walton-Le-Dale.   • Application for a certificate of lawfulness for a replacement side extension, single-storey rear extension and a dormer roof extension at 162A Liverpool Road, Longton. Validated 20 May.
  • Proposed single-storey rear extension at 179 Chapel Lane, Longton. Validated 6 June.
  • Application for works to a protected tree – South Ribble BC TPO 10 1989: T6 beech – prune to provide 2.5 metres clearance from buildings at 7 Beechfield Court, Leyland. Validated 17 May – Tree works approved.
  • Notification of works to a tree in a conservation area: Silver birch – fell at 4 Rawstorne Road, Penwortham. Validated 12 May – No objections.
  • Discharge of conditions 15 and 17-19 pursuant to planning permissions 07/2020/01064/FUL and 07/2020/01065/LBC for refurbishment and extension of Worden Hall to provide flexible community and events spaces and regularisation of existing use classes across the park at Worden Hall, Worden Park, Leyland. Validated 10 May – Conditions discharged.

  • Raising ridge height to form first floor accommodation in roof space, dormers to front, single-storey side extension, two-storey rear extension and porch to front at 11 Moorhey Crescent, Penwortham. Validated 10 March – Approval with conditions.
  • Application for works to protected trees – South Ribble BC TPO 2 1971: T1-Oak – crown reduction up to 2 metres and reduce eastern leader by 3 metres; T6-sycamore – fell; T7- ash – crown reduction up to 3 metres; T9 – sycamore – Fell; and T10 – sycamore – fell at St Teresa’s Presbytery, 34 Queensway, Penwortham.   • Single-storey side and rear extension at 38 Bracken Ghyll Close, Buckshaw Village, Chorley. Validated 14 February – Approval with conditions.

  • Retrospective application for a proposed change of use from A1 (residential) to C1 (holiday let) to form 1 no. residential dwelling to short term holiday let at 136B Liverpool Road, Longton. Validated 1 April – Approval with conditions.
  • Proposed erection of 2no. tourist pods, a commercial unit (shop) with accompanying micro-home on land off Goosefoot Lane, Samlesbury at Mayfield Terrace, Goosefoot Lane, Samlesbury. Validated 8 March – Application withdrawn.
