Below are the planning applications validated by South Ribble Borough Council in the week beginning June 6.

  • Erection of 50 affordable dwellings with access, parking, open space and landscaping infrastructure at Former Lostock Hall Primary School, Avondale Drive, Lostock Hall, Preston. Validated 1 June.
  • Discharge of conditions 3, 5-6, 10, 14, 16, 19-21 and 23 pursuant to planning permission 07/2021/00369/FUL for erection (class E) convenience store with back of house at first floor, customer car parking and delivery area following demolition of existing garage building at Grosvenor Garage, Chorley Road, Walton-Le-Dale. Validated 31 May.
  • Discharge of conditions 52 (partial) and 53 (full) pursuant to planning permission 07/2017/3361/ORM – hybrid planning application comprising of full and outline development – Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) development, Part A FULL – Site enabling works, the development of highway and drainage infrastructure for the full application site (the proposed development site) and the provision of car park accessed off Titan Way (Phase 1).   • Application for works to protected trees – South Ribble BC TPO 39 1992: Prune trees overhanging rear garden at Farington Lodge, Stanifield Lane, Farington, Leyland. Validated 6 June.
  • Outline application for up to 2 no. dwellings and creation of access to a yard area (access detailed and all other matters reserved) at 172A Longmeanygate, Midge Hall, Leyland. Validated 27 May.
  • Proposed attached garage at 1 Chatsworth Road, Walton-Le-Dale. Validated 23 May.
  • Application for prior approval for single-storey rear extension. Proposed length – 3.59m, height -2.69m and height to eaves – 2.69m at 56 Fir Trees Avenue, Lostock Hall, Preston. Validated 23 May.
  • Erection of replacement single-storey rear extension and erection of side extension at 22 Edinburgh Close, Leyland. Validated 20 May.
  • Application for a certificate of lawfulness for a replacement side extension, single-storey rear extension and a dormer roof extension at 162A Liverpool Road, Longton. Validated 20 May.
  • Proposed single-storey rear extension at 179 Chapel Lane, Longton. Validated 6 June.
  • Application for works to a protected tree – South Ribble BC TPO 10 1989: T6 beech – prune to provide 2.5 metres clearance from buildings at 7 Beechfield Court, Leyland. Validated 17 May – Tree works approved.
  • Notification of works to a tree in a conservation area: Silver birch – fell at 4 Rawstorne Road, Penwortham. Validated 12 May – No objections.
  • Discharge of conditions 15 and 17-19 pursuant to planning permissions 07/2020/01064/FUL and 07/2020/01065/LBC for refurbishment and extension of Worden Hall to provide flexible community and events spaces and regularisation of existing use classes across the park at Worden Hall, Worden Park, Leyland. Validated 10 May – Conditions discharged.
  • Proposed single-storey rear extension with flat roof in brick to match existing at 22 Old School Drive, Longton. Validated 13 April – Approval with conditions.
  • Provision for a building extension to infill between two existing buildings. The proposed development area is currently an external concrete yard at Alexander House, Walton Summit Road, Walton Summit Industrial Estate, Bamber Bridge. Validated 11 April – Approval with conditions.
  • Single-storey rear extension and first floor side extension above existing attached garage at 9 Carnoustie Court, Penwortham. Validated 7 April – Approval with conditions.
  • Single-storey extension to side and rear, bay windows to the front and extension of existing dormer at 13 Cockersand Avenue, Hutton. Validated 13 April – Approval with conditions.
  • Raising ridge height to form first floor accommodation in roof space, dormers to front, single-storey side extension, two-storey rear extension and porch to front at 11 Moorhey Crescent, Penwortham. Validated 10 March – Approval with conditions.
  • Application for works to protected trees – South Ribble BC TPO 2 1971: T1-Oak – crown reduction up to 2 metres and reduce eastern leader by 3 metres; T6-sycamore – fell; T7- ash – crown reduction up to 3 metres; T9 – sycamore – Fell; and T10 – sycamore – fell at St Teresa’s Presbytery, 34 Queensway, Penwortham. Validated 12 May – Tree works approved.
  • Single-storey side and rear extension at 38 Bracken Ghyll Close, Buckshaw Village, Chorley. Validated 14 February – Approval with conditions.
  • Single-storey rear extension following demolition of existing rear conservatory, two-storey side extension, loft conversion and rear dormer and render existing dwelling at 68 Selkirk Drive, Walton-Le-Dale. Validated 5 March – Approval with conditions.
  • Retrospective application for a proposed change of use from A1 (residential) to C1 (holiday let) to form 1 no. residential dwelling to short term holiday let at 136B Liverpool Road, Longton. Validated 1 April – Approval with conditions.
  • Proposed erection of 2no. tourist pods, a commercial unit (shop) with accompanying micro-home on land off Goosefoot Lane, Samlesbury at Mayfield Terrace, Goosefoot Lane, Samlesbury. Validated 8 March – Application withdrawn.
