Dog rescued from muddy banks of River Ribble

A dog has been rescued from the banks of the River Ribble.

Two fire engines from Preston and Penwortham were called to the incident shortly after 1pm today (Tuesday 21 June).

The dog had become stuck in mud near Riverside in Broadgate.

Firefighters freed the dog using specialist equipment.
