A tractor run dedicated to the memory of a five-year-old boy who sadly lost a battle with a brain tumour sets off tonight.
AdvertisementTonight (Friday, 10 June), over 200 vehicles will meet at Stanley Lodge, PR4 3SN, from 5pm to 5.30pm, and start their run at approximately 6.30pm to raise funds in memory of Charlie Robinson through the Thumbs up for Charlie charity.
Charlie’s Convoy was created in honour of Charlie, who was diagnosed with a Grade 3 ependymoma aged just 2.

In 2021, the run raised nearly £7,000 for Lancashire Teaching Hospital Charity’s Children’s Appeal, with 2022 donations reaching £4,743 as of 10 June.
The 2021 run followed a circular route from Inskip that went past the home Charlie shared with parents John and Nici and brothers Jack and Harry as it trundled through Catforth, Treales, Roseacre, Elswick and Great Eccleston.
It had 326 vehicles – a mix of tractors, diggers, wagons, vintage and military vehicles, and all were decorated in blue – Charlie’s favourite colour.

Organiser Bryan Eccleston plans to make the run an annual charity event.
Thumbs up for Charlie aims to support other families living with or affected by childhood brain tumours, offering respite breaks to make memories or to reflect.
