Mowgli Street Food will open in Preston city centre this summer.

The popular Indian chain will launch in what used to be French Connection in Miller Arcade on Monday 11 July.

Booking lines will open in June.

The news was announced on Mowgli’s Instagram, to much excitement from followers.

@chicken_tikka97 said: “Cannot wait! This is going to be dangerous.”

@elizabethbamber commented: “Can’t wait. Been waiting for this for ages,” while @jillysinkinson added: “OMG! It’s here!”

Mowgli’s owner, Lancashire-born Nisha Katona, announced in September that the chain would be coming to the city despite a previous plan to open in St George’s Shopping Centre falling through.

In January plans were lodged with Preston City Council to change the outside of the Grade II listed property.
