Councillor Ange Turner is the new Mayor of Penwortham.
Cllr Turner is a Liberal Democrat Councillor of South Ribble Borough Council and Penwortham Town Council for Broad Oak Ward.
She was selected by elected members of the Town Council at the Annual Meeting.
A Mayor Making Ceremony took place at Penwortham Community Centre in Kingsfold Drive on Tuesday (3 May).
Cllr Turner was invested with her chain of office by the retiring Mayor, Councillor David Bennett.

Cllr Turner said: “It is a great privilege to be offered the role.
“I’m looking forward to meeting businesses and volunteer groups, and opening many events, including this year’s Penwortham Gala at Hurst Grange Park.
“I plan to do everything I can to promote Penwortham and support as many events and activities as possible.”
Cllr Turner’s chosen charities are Leyland Hedgehog Rescue, Heartbeat and National Association of Disabled Bikers.
