Five Guys will open in what was Frankie and Benny’s

Five Guys is set to open on Deepdale Shopping Park.


The American burger restaurant will be situated in what was Frankie and Benny’s.

A planning application has been submitted to Preston City Council for alterations to the outside of the building, including a new door and signage.

In February, the chain was advertising roles in Preston with the exact location rumoured to be the city centre.

Launched in 1986 in Arlington in Virginia, USA, Five Guys is named after the five sons of Jerry and Janie Murrell, who offered their children a choice of college or starting a business.

The five sons opted for the latter, and the chain now has over 100 restaurants in the UK.
