When council tax rebate will be paid to Preston City Council taxpayers

People are waiting for their £150 rebate

Preston City Council have taken to social media to explain the energy council tax rebate of £150.

They said: “We understand everyone is waiting for this rebate, and our teams are working really hard to get processes in place ASAP

“All the information we have been provided with is on our website and any further updates will be posted as soon as we have them, including more detailed timescales.

“If you’re in Band A-D & pay by DD, your payment will be made automatically, from the end of April If you’re in Band A-D but don’t pay via DD, we will update on how to apply once the verification process is properly set up.

“Discretionary fund for those not eligible, e.g. those on low incomes in Band E-H, we will update on how to apply once our process is confirmed and set up.

“Thanks for your patience and understanding on this matter.”
