Rosemere Cancer Foundation has received a donation of £525 from a spring-themed fundraising event.
Matthew Smith who owns Walton-le-Dale based Brighter Blooms, raised the money for the charity through his fourth annual Tulip Open Weekend.
With the help of his wife, Grete, Matthew welcomed hundreds of gardening enthusiasts to the event.

Matthew, who grows flowers, vegetables and fruit bushes at his Gillibrand Street premises which he then sells to the public via garden shows he attends nationwide, showcased more 60 bright and beautiful tulip varieties.
He raised his donation by inviting visitors to buy hots drinks and homemade cakes served by a four-strong team of Rosemere Cancer Foundation volunteers, who also ran a raffle.
As well as supporting Rosemere Cancer Foundation, which he has done since starting his tulip fest, Matthew split the funds the event raised to also give £525 to Motivation Romania, a charity that is donating wheelchairs, crutches, walking frames and canes to Ukrainian refugees with mobility problems.
