A team charity cup competition saw members of Longton Bowling Club raise more than £300 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
The event has become the annual warm-up for the new crown green bowling season for the club on School Lane, after being founded more than a decade ago by former club chairman and current committee member Roy Dugdale.

This year’s competition was played by four teams featuring some 50 members, including subs, over three evenings.
Roy, who was treated for skin cancer at Rosemere Cancer Centre, said: “I would like to thank everyone involved with the competition, especially Tony Hankin who ran it and also to everyone who entered the raffles, which were held at the same time.
“It’s our way of thanking everyone at Rosemere Cancer Centre for the work that they do.”
