Preston City Council has acquired nine iconic listed telephone boxes.
AdvertisementSituated alongside the former Post Office in Market Street, the phone boxes have fallen into disrepair over recent years.
Council plans reveal the boxes will be put to creative use, forming part of the growing collection of attractions in this part of the city centre.

In 2014, proposals were tabled to convert the phone boxes into retail units and various plans have followed since.
Speaking about the latest proposals, a Preston City Council spokesperson said: “More information will be announced later in the year.”
