Bird freed from netting in Fishergate rescue

A bird has been rescued after becoming trapped in netting in Preston city centre.

The incident happened in Fishergate today (Thursday 7 April) just after 3.30pm.

One engine from Preston attended the scene.

Firefighters from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service used a 10.5m ladder to release the bird.

They were in attendance for around 50 minutes.
