Two charged with attempted murder after Ingol shooting

Two men have been charged with attempted murder following the shooting of a man in Preston.

Police were called to reports that a man had been shot at an address on Bowlingfields, Ingol, at around 11.10pm on Sunday, 11 July 2021.

The man, in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. He is now recovering from the incident.

Yesterday morning (Wednesday, March 2), police arrested two men in Preston and following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, they were charged with attempted murder.

Paul Matheson, 38, of Houldsworth Road, Preston and Daniel Quinn, 30, formerly of Holme Slack Lane, Preston are both due to appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday, March 3).
