The Larder will this month offer a free, improvised gig with the experimental group The Dissonance Collective.

Following a sold-out show at The Collective Weekender last year, The Dissonance Collective (TDC) has teamed up with The Larder to bring improvised sonic adventures to the streets of Preston on Thursday 24 March.

Preston-based TDC is a group of musicians and artists who create free improvised objects.

They said each TDC performance represents a chunk of time/space that exists with or without their input, and they choose to fill a designated moment with unplanned sound as an object.

There are familiar faces from the Preston music scene in TDC, including Matt Wells (The Hellfire Preachers, Djangobop) and Susie Jones (local songwriter and artist).

TDC has also released a full-length album, ‘Object 8 – Marrowbones’.

The Larder will be open for drinks and cake during the event.

The doors open at 8pm, with music from 8.30pm.
