The JJ Effect to hold anti knife crime workshop in Deepdale

Byron at the JJ Effect is set to present a presentation which will highlight the devastating effects of knife crime and gang violence.

The event is called ‘Murder on the Streets of Preston: The experience of personal tragedy.’

It will take place on Sunday 6 March from 2pm to 5pm at The Catherine Beckett Community Centre in Deepdale in association with The Light Foundation.

There will be a welcome by the Mayor of Preston.

It will be an afternoon of hard and powerful descriptions, video and stories, which have been delivered by Byron to over 150,000 young people. 

There will also be an exclusive panel discussion with Council and community leaders, expert practitioners, including Byron who’s own brother was brutally murdered in Preston in 2014.
