The stakes were high for Rosemere Cancer Foundation when members of the Rotary Club of Longridge and North Preston met for their biennial casino night.
Held at Longridge’s Ferrari’s Country House Hotel and Restaurant, the evening of gaming, which also included an auction, entertainment by pianist Oliver Bond and canapes, raised £3,200 for the charity.

The club’s public relations officer, Paul Bond, said: “Staging the evening was a team effort and on behalf of the Rotary Club of Longridge and North Preston, I would like to thank everyone involved in its organisation, everyone who donated auction prizes and those who turned out to support it.
“We hold this event every other year to raise money for local good causes. The decision to make Rosemere Cancer Foundation its sole beneficiary this time was a unanimous one as one of our members is currently undergoing treatment at Rosemere Cancer Centre and other members are also former patients.”
