Pupils, parents, carers, staff and the local community from Archbishop Temple Church of England High School in Fulwood have donated fifty large boxes and bags of items to the International Aid Trust’s Ukraine Emergency Appeal.
The boxes and bags were packed full of canned and packet food, toiletries, sanitary products, nappies and medicines.
Louise Walsh, the school’s Head of Year 10 and Teacher of Science, organised the collection and delivered it to the International Aid Trust warehouse in Lostock Hall on Monday 14 March.

She said: “There were three other vehicles unloading when we arrived. There was about a dozen people helping to sort through all the donations. We were able to stay for a short while and help before we had to return to school. They would welcome anyone who can spare even a few minutes.
“They also send their thanks for all the kind donations. You can follow the International Aid Trust on Facebook to see exactly where the donations are going.”
The International Aid Trust is still welcoming donations. See the International Aid Trust website for details or call 01772 611000.
