Body found in search for man missing from Plungington

Preston Police have found a body in the search for a man missing from Plungington.
Officers had earlier appealed for help to find Bogdan Timofte.
They had been seen searching near Lancaster Canal by Ashton Basin last night (Monday 7 March).
At around 2pm today (Tuesday 8 March) emergency services attended Seymour Road in Ashton-on-Ribble after reports a man had been found deceased outdoors.
While no formal identification has taken place, police believe the deceased to be Bogdan.
His family have been made aware of the latest developments.
Bogdan’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed onto HM Coroner in due course.
