An air ambulance flew an 11-year-old girl to hospital yesterday after she suffered a serious leg injury during a Penwortham crash.
On Monday 14 March, at 3.36pm, one fire engine from Lancashire Fire and Rescue attended a road traffic collision between a Vauxhall Corsa and an 11-year-old girl on Leyland Road, Penwortham.

The incident involved one vehicle, with firefighters using trauma and first aid kits at the scene.
The girl was conveyed to the hospital by air ambulance for treatment, with fire crews attending the scene for approximately one hour.

Police also attended and have appealed for information.
