The strike involves a national pay dispute over the 2021/2022 staff pay award, which the University of Central Lancashire implemented, resulting in an increase of between 3.6 per cent and 1.5 per cent for most university staff.

UCLan advised students to keep checking their emails for updates from the Head of School, course leaders and student comms.
Students who wish to ask the university questions about the strike should direct them to their Head of School in the first instance.
