She wrote: “Well, I never thought I’d ever be writing this status to be honest, and I’ll be nothing but honest, I’m genuinely gutted to have to write this.

“If you know me, you know The Green Frog was actually my life, for a very long time. 18 years.

“But after looking through these photos, I’ve made so many amazing happy memories with a group of special people – the people I’ve worked with, and the people I’ve worked for.

“I’ve made such good friends and it’s so sad and upsetting to say I won’t have the honour to work with what I call family again.

“I just to say thank you so much to all my loyal customers. Customers that have made my work place happy. I loved what I did, and I’m sorry to say I’ve had to leave, ready for a new career and new start in life.

“PS: I just had to make a little video as you all know that place meant so much to me.

“Still can’t believe I’m writing this status. Bye bye Frog, you will be missed.”

Jess was a much-loved staff member who will be missed by customers

People were quick to send messages of support to Jess.

Caroline Westworth said: “Oh wow I’m going to miss you there. Like Karlie said you were and made The Green Frog what it is today but I wish you all the best in your new venture hun. Good luck.”

James Gelson wrote: “It will never be the same again! You made that place! All the best for whatever the future holds!”

The Green Frog is an iconic Preston establishment

Charlotte Robinson said: “Aww those photos display some wonderful memories, it was your life, you put your heart and soul into that place.

“I’ve never known anyone who can literally look at someone from the end of the car park and recite their order before they even arrive. You’re the most committed worker I’ve ever known, your standards are so high, always ensuring they got 5 stars and the staff were happy and family, you are the glue.

“You are a dream worker. The smiles on the faces of your customers daily will always be remembered and I’m positive they’ll all miss you so much! Well done for being bold and brave and serving me my favourites all these years!”
