Local solicitors will waive will-writing fees in exchange for a donation to St Catherine’s Hospice this March under the ‘Wills Week’ initiative.
This year, the annual campaign is running from March 7 to 11 and sees local solicitors waive their fees in return for a donation to the Lostock Hall hospice.
Emily Carpenter, community engagement officer at St Catherine’s, said the week is an opportunity for people to get their will written with a reputable partner solicitor at a discounted rate.

Emily said: “Wills Week makes a valuable contribution to the funds our charity needs to raise each year to pay for our palliative and end-of-life care of local people.
“We also want to encourage our community to be prepared for the future through an up-to-date will that reflects their current circumstances and wishes.
“We hope it might be an opportunity to consider a gift to St Catherine’s once loved ones are provided for too.”
