Road in Larches closed for utility works with buses diverted

Lancashire County Council has closed Greaves Town Lane in the Larches for utility repairs and maintenance works.

The road was closed from 9am Monday 14 February and will remain shut until 5pm on Friday 18 February, with the works underway opposite Lea Community Primary School.

The Greaves Town Lane closure is in effect so Electricity North West can excavate joint bays with a track to install a cable for a new supply – it has also affected Preston Bus services.

Bus services 88 and 100 will operate as normal to Larches Terminus.

They will then turn around at Larches turning circle, Larches Lane, Larches Avenue, Blackpool Road, and return to the route.
