Preston police appeal for wanted man in connection with assaulting police officer

Darryl Cooke is wanted by Preston Police

Preston Police are looking for Darryl Cooke who is wanted in connection with a number of offences, including police assault.

Cooke, 31, of Plungington Road, is described as white, 5ft 7in tall and of medium build. He has short, light-brown hair and brown eyes.

Cooke is wanted by police following an incident in August in Preston where a property was damaged. Police attended the scene with two officers assaulted.

In January police received a further report of historic assaults against a woman in Preston, with Cooke wanted in connection with the allegations.

Cooke has links to Preston and has been working in Wales.

He is described as a dangerous offender and police are advising the public not to approach him.

PC Seth Williams, of Preston Police, said: “Cooke knows he is wanted and I would urge him to do the right thing and come forward.

“The public should not approach him. If you know where he is, please ring us immediately.”
