As the cost of living rises and increases in energy bills come into force the Intact Centre is offering Prestonians a hot lunch on Thursday 10th February
The centre is based on Whitby Ave in Ingol and offers a range of services to help people regardless of age or circumstances.
It will be the first Community Lunch held by the centre where anyone can turn up between 11am to 1.30pm and get a hot meal.

It will be a ‘pay what you feel’ service, where no charge is necessary, however people can donate a small sum if they like.
Intact board of trustees member John Potter said: “It’s a scary time for many people with food prices doubling and energy bills expected to go up by over £600 a year. For people on the edge, every meal is important. We wanted to give them one less meal to worry about.
“Using surplus stock from our pantry, the Community Lunch will help feed vulnerable people while also cutting down food waste.”
Steph Lee’s-Pinson, The Intact Centre’s community development manager said: “Not only can people come in and get a hot meal but they can also access any of our other services that might help them in these tough times.
“Social isolation and loneliness in the community is a real concern for us at the moment as well. Our Community Lunch is an opportunity to see a friendly face, have a hot meal and have a nice chat.”
