Galentine’s Day falls on 13 February every year, in which women get together to celebrate the love for their friends and spend quality time with each other. While it’s usually women who participate in this non-official holiday, all genders are welcome to attend the Ivory Tower event.
Stephanie Powell is the Events Manager at Ivory Tower, which holds a range of events including weddings and private parties, and is located above 1842 Restaurant and Bar in Lune Street.
Stephanie said: “We’ve chosen to host this event because it’s just a bit of fun for everyone and takes the pressure off Valentine’s Day a little.
“Even if I was to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my partner, I would still want to have a fun get together with my friends, as friends can be soulmates too.
“We are aiming it at groups of friends, just to come and enjoy themselves on a Sunday in a great venue.”
