Police are appealing for help to find potential witnesses to a serious sexual assault in Preston city centre last month.
AdvertisementOn Friday 7 January, a man attacked a 17-year-old Preston girl in Glovers Court.
Following an appeal earlier today, police have made contact with two men they wanted to identify.
Officers have stressed that neither man is suspected of any offence, but both were in the same area as the incident and may have seen something significant.

They are now continuing to ask for help identifying a woman who is also not suspected of any offence, but is believed to have spoken to the victim outside Review bar between 11pm and 11.40pm on 7 January.
Detectives are also keen to speak to the driver of a car who stopped in Glovers Court after midnight on 8 January. The driver stopped because the car door of a vehicle was open and blocking the road.

Det Con Sharon Clowes, of Preston CID, said: “We have now identified the men in the images and would like to thank them very much for contacting us.
“We would still like to speak to the woman and are asking her, or anybody who recognises her, to get in touch with us.
“I must stress neither she nor the men we have now identified are suspected of any crime, but may be able to help us piece together exactly what occurred that night.
“We would also like to speak to the motorist who stopped in Glovers Court on the night of the incident. If you think this is you, or you have any other information about this incident, please come forward.”
