One person treated after dryer fire in Leyland

A fire caused by a dryer has been put out after firefighters attended the scene on Hough Lane, Leyland.

Four fire engines from Leyland, Bamber Bridge, Chorley and Preston attended the fire at a commercial property.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.

Crews were at the scene for approximately an hour, during which time firefighters administrated first aid to one casualty who suffered smoke inhalation.
