Senior Lecturer in Japanese Takako Amano said: “This is the eighth time we have run Japan Day on the Preston Campus, and it’s always a fantastic event that showcases the very best of Japan and its culture.

“After a break due to the pandemic, this time we are honoured to welcome a taiko drumming performance and workshops and language workshops by the Chief Language Adviser of the Japan Foundation.

“These activities give people in the North West of England a flavour of Japan.”
