Two kind-hearted colleagues have been thanked after they helped a customer who lost her purse and car keys.
Jackie and Dan from the Asda store in Fulwood helped an 82-year-old customer when she lost her purse and car keys.
Jackie has worked at the store for 30 years and when the lady couldn’t pay for her shopping, Jackie paid for the lady’s shopping out of her own money, before front-end section leader Dan drove her home.

Ben, the store’s operations manager, said: “The lady was very upset and distraught, but both Jackie and Dan just went ahead off their own backs and sorted it.
“Jackie immediately paid for the lady’s shopping, which was over £100, and while it was being packed Dan went to get his car to drive the lady home and ensure that she was okay.
“The lady returned later that day with a spare car key and paid Jackie back too. The lady was extremely grateful and we, as a store, are very proud of Dan and Jackie.
“What they did was absolutely incredible, they really went above and beyond. It’s a wonderful example of going the extra mile to help our customers.”
Both Dan and Jackie have been nominated for Asda service superstar awards for their kindness.
