Diesel spill causes 90-minute delays on M6 at Junction 31

On the M6 North within J31 near Preston, there was a collision earlier involving two vehicles.

There was a diesel spillage on the carriageway and lanes two, three and four were closed so traffic officers and contractors could clear it.

The vehicles involved have now been recovered and all lanes have been reopened, but there are residual delays of up to 90 minutes on the approach and delays on routes northbound through Preston.
