A talk on sex and sin in 17th century Lancashire is coming to Preston.
AdvertisementRenowned historian Dr Alan Crosby will be speaking at the event by Preston Historical Society on Monday 7 February at the Church of George the Martyr in Lune Street.
Alan, who is one of Preston’s most prominent historians, will draw on records of sexual misconduct in Lancashire during the Stuart period.

A spokesperson for Preston Historical Society said: “Alan is a very popular speaker with our members and other local history societies.
“We expect a large audience, who will no doubt be delightfully entertained and well-informed during the talk.”
Non-members are welcome at the event. Pay on the door is available but to be sure of a place, tickets can be booked for £3.83 on Eventbrite.
